Adria at Dakar Rally 2023
We start the new year with, once again the toughest real-world test of our vehicles, at the annual Dakar Rally, now in its 45th edition.
For the eleventh year in succession we provide support vehicles to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team, competing in the motorcycle category of the world’s most extreme and toughest rally raid.
This year the rally is once again in Saudi Arabia, where sand is the dominant challenge for the riders and their KTM motorcycles. The rally runs from 31.12.22 to 15.1.23 and covers almost 5,000 km of punishing terrain in 14 stages.
This year, KTM seeks to retain its long dominance of off road rallies, and especially the Dakar, with top riders competing for the championship: Toby Price (Australia), Matthias Walkner (Austria), Kevin Benavides (Argentina) and Daniel Sanders (AUS), each of which get the support of an Adria motorhome, which provides some respite from the conditions and much needed comfort.
The Adria Dakar fleet consists of Sonic, Matrix and Coral XL motorhomes, with few adaptations for the rally. Each day they race ahead of the riders and set up a basecamp for the team overnight camp.
